Kelly Clarkson, an American singer-songwriter and actress who won the American Idol competition in its first season, became America's Sweetheart. This win did more than propel her into the limelight, but also earned her a multi-album recording contract in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. Since then she has made several studio albums, including three which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just fell short of the top spot. They consider her to be one of the greatest success American Idol artists. When she was successful, she explored a variety of genres and themes, frequently writing her own songs to her own personal experiences. The uniqueness of her voice and singing ability earned her critical acclaim and a number of high-profile prizes. She has been awarded an award called the Grammy Award 3 times. The music industry isn't her only occupation. She also appears in movies and television programs. She also wrote the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with a number of charities.
